We are looking for volenteers for the following neat stuff:
1. We would like to have an end of the year picnic for all players. If you could help us organize an even like this please contact Gary Andrew @ andrewgd@apci.com
2. On the date of the signup we would like help to size players for shirts. This year we are thinking of having all players have the same shirt and cap. If you could help us contact Gary Andrew email above.
3. To help with the cost for next year we are thinking of Night At The Horse Race, or other things. If you would like to be on the comittie please let us know.
Kill the rumor mill. We have a big opportunity for our young ball players. As many of you might know we had a Legion team several years ago and lost the franchise. North Western had the franchise and our players went down to play there. We have been working with North Western (Jim Kester) and we will make the following changes:
1. The team name will change from Northwestern to Northern Valley.
2. We will play half the games at Northwestern and half at Northern Leigh. Mike Hamm has talked with Eagles nest about using their large field.
3. We will add a Jr Legion team
4. We will continue with Connie Mack to make sure everyone gets to play quality ball.
5. Team colors will be Blue and Gold.
6. A board existing with equal numbers from both schools will be formed.
We will keep you informed so we can do away with the rumors.
